The Niles Foundation is seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to join our team as Part-Time Local Urban Farming and Greening Support Members. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting urban farming initiatives, greening projects, and community engagement efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning and implementation of urban farming projects, including planting, maintenance, and harvesting of crops.
• Support the development and maintenance of community gardens and green spaces.
• Collaborate with community members and organizations to promote sustainable farming practices and environmental stewardship.
• Assist in organizing and conducting workshops and educational programs on urban farming and greening.
• Collect and analyze data on the impact of urban farming and greening initiatives in the community.
• Provide support in community outreach and engagement activities, including attending events and meetings.
• Assist in the coordination of volunteer efforts and community workdays.

Qualifications:

• Passion for urban farming, greening, and environmental sustainability.
• Basic knowledge and experience in gardening, farming, or horticulture.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Familiarity with local urban farming and greening initiatives is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent (college degree in a related field preferred).

The Niles Foundation is seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals to join our team as Community Engagement Support Members for our EV Community Transportation Project. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in engaging with the community, collecting data, and promoting 

awareness of electric vehicles (EVs) and sustainable transportation options.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and plan strategic community engagement activities to promote EV awareness
• Assist in organizing and implementing community events and workshops
• Collect and analyze data on community transportation needs and preferences
• Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to foster engagement and support
• Assist in developing educational materials and resources on EVs and sustainable transportation
• Provide support in conducting surveys and focus groups to gather valuable community feedback
• Help identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to increase EV community engagement

Qualifications:

• Passion for community engagement and environmental sustainability
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data collection tools
• Familiarity with Los Angeles neighborhoods and transportation systems
• High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
