The Community Farms & Gardens Initiative
Key Components For Garden/Farms
1. Healthy Living: Our sites were created to promote healthy eating habits and a healthy lifestyle creating project-based learning & training members to prepare their own food.
2. Life Skills: Gardening, farming, shopping and cooking are integrated into training offered to the families, and our standard activities.
3. Occupational Training: Our urban agriculture sites are designed with the potential for career training in agriculture and or food industries.
4. Community Engagement: We encourage all residents, volunteers, schools and businesses, to become growers and trainers alongside families in our programs.
We are creating #JustSixMore Sites for 2020 & 20 New sites for 2021
