Through aligned vision, environmental justice and the mission to green LA, a park was born. The California Department of Transportation, Caltrans 7, lead the way for this beautiful collaboration made possible through the "Clean California Project" and the first park for The Niles Foundation, community members, workers and students neighboring where Green isn't the most common landscape.
We want to give a huge THANK YOU to Caltrans, LATTC’s Architecture Program, LA Mayor Garcetti’s Careers by Design LA Program, the USGBC LA Urban Landscape Committee, The Niles Foundation team, LA County Supervisory District 1, LA County Metropolitan Transportation, City Council District 9, the Design One Group firm, and a local artist Álvaro Márquez.
This is just one of the first of many empowering and innovative greening projects we are look forward to bringing to our LA residents in continuing the incredible and awesome work we do to meet the needs of those who need it most.
WE LOVE LA💕
Come see our new greening space that educates, empowers and uplifts.
