Clean & Green Affordable Housing


Building Equity Through Affordable Housing and Food Security

Summary: 


Purpose: The Intent of this project is to build equity and equality for communities that are underserved, disadvantaged, underrepresented, and are low-moderate income populations. 


Project: This project was created to build multi-unit affordable housing spaces that offer new or renovated affordable units that are energy-efficient, provide essential amenities, utilizes clean energy cost-savings, and inspire creativity to live, work, grow and play.  


 What This Looks Like: 


  1. Multifamily low-moderate, communities of color, underserved and underrepresented populations housing construction, purchase or renovation of one or multiple property sites. 
  2. Community food garden or farm for families to grow their own food promoting and addressing food security. 
  3. On-site training for individuals and families to live sustainably, learn life skills, learn occupational trades, and green living. 
  4. Solar panels for energy-efficient apartments and increased utilities cost saving. 
  5. Energy-efficient appliances and equipment to be installed. 
  6. Clean Vehicle Charging 
  7. COVID-19 safe creative spaces that provide access to technology, health, wellness, fitness, or other creative outlets.
